Highly respected and talented filmmaker who began producing and directing films in 1970. In 1979 he put together a roadshow program of films entitled 'FILMS FOR A NEW DECADE' and at the same time started a tv acting school.

He was central in the Australian development of the 1980's arriving commercially out of the Sydney and Melbourne underground film movements and continues to be a big presence at international film festivals and events around the world.

Andrew Vial was a member of the Sydney 2000 Olympics Dancesport Team which performed at the Closing Ceremony. He is also a veteran short-track speed skating state champion.
